Black Horse Leatherworks now offers Personal Goods in the form of wallets, handbags and purses!
Our goal is to create designer quality items with a "Western Touch" with the goal being a piece you can use with a casual outfit or pair with evening attire. The leathers used for the tooled portions is Herman Oak. Most of the bag and wallet "bodies" are created from imported hides from France and Italy. The same used in high-end designer products. quality hardware as well. All edges are finished as a luxury item would be with the same quality and care. I will soon be launching a whole new section in this website to celebrate these fine items.
Very Cute "Canteen" syle handbag
This unique little "Canteen" style bag is made from Herman Oak leather on the front and back side. The gusset is Italian cowside with a pebbled finish. The interior is fully lined with lambsuede with a slip pocket. Closure is a 2 way zipper top. The buckle on the shoulder strap is sterling silver overlay for a 3/4" strap. The tassels also have sterling ball accents. Measures approx. 9" across by 3" deep.

Ribbon Closure handbag
This bag is made from luxury leathers from Italy in Whiskey and Taupe. The design is inspired by Italian designers then given a "western" flare. The tooled "Ribbon" portion is Herman Oak, carved, dyed and slightly colored to accent the base leathers. Birght high quality hardware was used. The interior is fully lined with lambsuede with a slip pocket. There's also an outer slip pocket. Measures approxi. 7.75" x 5.75" tall, 2.5" deep. $875.00
Fringed and Tooled Wristlets
These wristlets are small enough to be handy but large enough to accommodate wallets and cell phones. They are fully lined and have a zipper interior pocket. They are tooled and fringed on BOTH the front and back side. Long tassel decoration, zipper top. Approx. size 9.5" x 6"

The purses below are ones already owned and loved! They are a representation of what can be made. Mix and match colors and textures, hardware, spots or it can be made with totally carved leather!
